21st C Ethical Bear Baiting Extravaganza!
Performance presented as part of the Fete Encounter, an outdoor live art event based on the traditional village fete.

For one day only the glorious English tradition of subjecting defenceless animals to mindless cruelty and senseless exploitation in the name of pastoral entertainment shall return to the English countryside! The Bear Baiting Bonanza provides the general public the opportunity to exploit the Fete Encounter’s ethically sourced semi-tame bear in a myriad of exciting and (relatively) safe ways. Try your hand at bear baiting! Watch him comically dance and prance! And if you successfully manage to Guess the Weight of the Bear, YOU can take him home to keep and do with what you will!
